The WEMSA Foundation provides twelve individual annual scholarships to improve the education level of EMS providers in our Wisconsin communities. The scholarships are available to WI residents who are WEMSA members in an effort to improve recruitment and retention in our communities. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and need. A formal application process to include an evaluation of need and merit, a 500 word essay on how the grant will be used by the individual, 2 letters of recommendation from the EMS colleague will assist the foundation board in the distribution of each scholarship. The WEMSA Foundation provides a grant annually to a WEMSA member service for needed supplies and equipment. WEMSA member service can use the grant monies for supplies and equipment purchases in an effort to prevent shortages at the community level. Grants will be awarded based on need. A formal application process to include a evaluation of the service's finanicial limitations, a 500 word written request describing what supplies/ equipment are needed and how they will be used for improvement of community experience, detail of dollar amount being requested, and a community impact evaluation will be used to assist the Foundation Board in the distribution of the grant.
